Sonya Massey Protest

Unveiling Black Springfield (UBS) joined a protest outside the Sangamon County Courthouse in response to the murder of Sonya Massey by a county sheriff’s officer. More than 100 Springfield residents gathered to demand justice—and, more specifically, the immediate release of the officer’s body camera footage.
